Description

  1. About the Course

BIM or Building Information Modelling is a process for creating and managing information on a construction project across the project lifecycle. Autodesk Revit Architecture is a BIM application for authoring parametric 3D models that generate geometry with embedded information for the design and construction of buildings and infrastructure. From these intelligent models, all the necessary documents such as plans, sections, elevations, perspectives, details, and schedules can be derived.

Elements in Revit are managed and manipulated through a series of parameters that we will discuss in greater detail throughout this course. Unlike other geometrical modelling software, the Revit elements have bidirectional associativity, allowing the user to change the 2D views to change the 3D model, or the model to change the views. Especially, Rev

it gives you the opportunity to easily input, manage, and export your project data for project coordination and execution.

This course is conducted by Dr. Neel Gunasekera who is a Project Development Specialist and a Lecturer in CADD with over 30 years of experience.
